Hong Freakin' Kong!

Yey! Hong Kong rocks, you guys. I didn't like it at first but it's totally wild. I must be staying in the seediest hostel in the seediest building in the seediest part of town but that's what makes it unique and it's $8 a night; you can't go wrong... I've been meeting cool people non-stop (locals and internationals), going places, going out, taking Tea classes, I'm thinking about taking a Tai Chi class tomorrow morning (it's all free stuff!) There's tons to see: crazy outdoor markets (flower market, bird market, flea market...), Buddhist temples, little islands with traditional fishing villages and people living on makeshift boats... It's still Spring here but it's brutally hot and humid (think Amherst in August and double the humidity rate). Fun Fun Fun!!! I wasn't gonna stay long here but since I'm having such a blast, why rush? I have to wait for my Chinese visa anyway. I think I'll head to mainland China Thursday or Friday. First stop in China will be Ghangzhou (just North of HK) then I'm thinking about going through Yunnan and work my way up to Tibet... We'll see how it goes. Comrades! Take May Day off, don't forget.
